Who needs Downy?
...when you have a clothes line? Downy only comes in "April Fresh","Tropical Bloom", "Free & Sensitive","Clean Breeze", and "Mountain Spring". Heck, what about "Arctic Blast"?

Right in my own back yard! Actually, this was the tail end of snow and cold from a few days ago. Most of it was melted, with just a crust showing. It was around 40 degrees (F) when I took this picture. And believe it or not, everything dried that day. The odd structure above the clothesline is an innovation from Wayne. When he bought this place, one of the conditions was that he had to set up a "guzzler" - a tank for the wild life to drink from. The idea was that he could put a gutter on the old barn and use the runoff to fill the tank. But he knew the wildlife would rather stay in treeline, so he ran a pvc "viaduct" from the barn to a tank in the tree line. And since he had those poles supporting the viaduct, why not rig it with a clothesline? Worked great for him, living alone. I suspect we'll be supplementing the line with another one closer to the house.

And what would an entry be without an animal picture? This is Peety, the kitty that showed up one day and never left. She's enjoying the sun from a truck seat stored in the barn. She doesn't appear to be interested in mice, though we've found lots of feathers around. She and the dogs get along great; if they are too wild, she chases them out of the barn, otherwise it's a real lovefest.
